Adopting a Baby Elephant at the Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary in Nairobi Kenya 🇰🇪 Kenya Travel Vlog
This episode of my Kenya travel vlog series features a travel video on my visit to the Sheldrick Elephant and Rhino Sanctuary in Langata, Nairobi. This unique Elephant orphanage is quite a special place. It rescues baby elephants that were at risk of dying due to poaching or drought, brings them to the sanctuary and takes care of them until they can get released into the wild again.
This Kenya vlog provides Africa travel tips and aims to answer the following questions you may have:
• What can I go see in Africa and how I can help wild animals?
• How can I help African wildlife and how can I save an elephant?
• Where can I touch an elephant and how can I help save wildlife?
• What to see in Kenya and what can I do in Kenya?
• Where should I go in Africa and where should I go in Kenya?
• What to go see in Nairobi and what you can do in Kenya?
The Sheldrick Elephant and Rhino centre offers daily feeding of the elephants with public access for a small fee. After the feeding events, visitors can chose to adopt a baby elephant, either on their own name, or as a memorable gift. Adoptions are for the period of 1 year and get get renewed. As part of your adoption package you get some additional information materials about the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and monthly email updates about your orphan baby elephant. In addition, elephant foster parents get a special afternoon visit to the sanctuary in a more relaxed setting. I tremendously enjoyed the special African experience with these majestic animals.
