Isese Festival NYC + Libation 2017 – Two Celebrations of African Traditions | BK Live

Isese Festival NYC, celebrating the customs and culture of Yorubaland (a-k-a Nigeria). It’s taking place Sunday June 4, 2017, and features a procession through the streets of Bed-Stuy, live music, guest speakers, and food – all for free. Here, Blitz the Ambassador a Ghanaian hip hop artist, and Chief Ayanda Clarke, a drummer and key member of Asase Yaa African American Dance Theater, to tell us about the purpose of the festival, and what we can expect during the festivities.
